The holidays are a wonderful time of year. There’s lots of time with family, lots of eating and celebrating, and lots of stuff.
I love the holidays, but I have to say that I do get a little bit overwhelmed by all of the new stuff that enters our home. It’s all wonderful, exciting and given with love. Now I just have to find a place for it! That’s why over the next few days, the family and I are going to do a quick KonMari-ing of our existing stuff in order to make sure that everything still sparks joy and to organize the new things we’ve gotten.
If you’re in the same position as we are, here are a few quick tips to help you with your home.
- Do it in chunks! Try to declutter by category (the KonMari method is great for this!).
- Decide on what truly makes you happy and say goodbye (with gratitude!) to the things that no longer bring you joy.
- Store items of the same category together.
