The Invite Joy Home Program – Healing Begins at Home

The Invite Joy Home Program is a 12-week, small group program to guide and support you as you put your house in order.
Why this program was created:

When my son was first born, I tackled the enormous task of decluttering and organizing my home. As a new mom, I needed my home to be a place that was calm and relaxing. I also wanted it organized in a way to make all the new jobs that come with being a mom a little bit easier. Using the KonMari Method™ of decluttering helped me to do that, and so much more. I got my home in order and it was a turning point where I began consciously saying “yes” to the things I wanted in my life, and “thank you” and “goodbye” to the things I no longer desired.

I said “yes” to becoming a Certified Konmari™ Consultant to support others who have decided to take action to turn their home into the calm, joyful and tidy place they have always wanted. In my work with clients, I have found that in order to complete the process there are 4 things they need:

  1.  A clear plan: Many people feel overwhelmed at the thought of going through all of their belongings. With a simple, step-by-step plan, this intimidating task becomes more manageable and less scary.
  2. Prioritizing time: One of the biggest hurdles for many people who want to clear the clutter is setting aside the time to get it done. Prioritizing the process in your schedule and setting deadlines help get things done more efficiently and quickly.
  3. Accountability. Knowing that you’ll have to update someone on your progress makes it much more motivating to get things done in the timeline you’ve set for yourself.
  4.  Support. Having someone to ask questions to during the process saves lots of time, especially when planning out next steps.

The Invite Joy Program was created to help fill these needs. Through this program, you will create a clear step-by-step plan and schedule to get your decluttering and organizing process completed.  Weekly group meetings with your certified Certified KonMari™ Consultant and the Invite Joy Home community will help you celebrate your progress, hold you accountable, answer questions and help you if you get stuck.

  • A 60 minute 1:1 call with me to discuss your most pressing decluttering needs, the current state of your home, and to introduce you to the inner workings of the program.
  • Deep dive into Your Home and Lifestyle Vision workshop.
  • Time Prioritization workshop to help you manage your priorities within the time you have.
  • 10 weekly group meetings to set goals, create your personalized decluttering/organizing schedule, celebrate your progress and answer any questions.
  • An online community to get support from others and connect with those who are in the process.

I never expected to become a professional organizer. The resident slob in a home of incredibly neat people, I wasn’t sure how the organization gene managed to bypass me. 

After a 10 year career as a programmer in the male dominated technology field, I decided to find something more meaningful. I spent the next 5 years as a speech and language pathologist in the public school system working with children on the Autism Spectrum, (which helped me become slightly more orderly). Still, it took having a baby and discovering the Marie Kondo (KonMari) method of decluttering for me to FINALLY get my home in order. I decided to leave things that no longer brought me joy (including that “secure” job) in order to be able to raise my son and start my own business. 

I am now lucky enough to help people from tween and above to take control of their space and find what truly brings them joy. Knowing how vulnerable it can feel to allow someone into your mess, my non-judgemental demeanor allows my clients to trust me to get them joyfully through the process of creating a peaceful, more organized home. 

When I’m not helping people tidy, you can find me dressing like a pirate with my kids, rockin’ out, playing cards with my hubby, creating inspiring wall art and healing others (and myself) using Pranic healing.
